Plenary keynote speaker about the central theme: The learning society for sustainable development

Karin Jironet works for De Baak Management Centre VNO-NCW, a leading knowledge centre and platform for leadership development in the Netherlands. Karin works with senior executives who want to develop their leadership competencies through self-awareness and personal development. Her perspective on what “personal development” means is rooted in several years of Sufi training, as well as studies and training in the areas of theology, psychology and communication. This enables her to bring together perspectives from diverse fields including spirituality, academia and business. She has published books and articles on the themes of spiritual development, personal and professional learning, and power and authority in leadership. Her latest book , The Role of the Conscience, is based on interviews with a number of Dutch CEO’s, depicting the relationship between personality and professional considerations.
