Ruud van Ommeren studied psychology at the Radboud university in Nijmegen, (Netherlands) and business administration at the economic faculty of the University of Leuven, Belgium. He worked for 13 years as a consultant in applied Organisational Psychology and management-training. He is now the president and owner of the Zuidema-group, a number of consultancy-firms specialized in Learning and Development. Ruud carried out e great number of significant articles in the field of Learning and Development, Organisation-psychology, Management Development and later on in Philosophy of Science.
He was for years lecturer at the universities of Tilburg and Groningen and was chairman of the Program-counsel Master of Learning and Development (MLD) at The Tilburg Academy of International Studies (TIAS) and Director of Studies at the university of Groningen. Ruud was also the cofounder and moderator of the Post Academic Comenius-course for top-management.
He was the first chairman of VETRON, the National Organisation of Training and Education Firms in the Netherlands and is an outstanding expert, consultant and speaker on HRD issues. Ruud is a well-known critic about non-scientific based learning-concepts and pseudoscientific training- and education-programs.
